Drag brake mostly. Maybe instant reverse or a better BEC

BEC = Battery Eliminator Circuit. All car/truck ESCs, and most airplane ESCs, have a BEC that supplies the receiver and servos with power from the main battery. It eliminates the need for a separate receiver battery pack. The BEC on some ESCs can only handle 1 or 2 amps, not enough for a crawler. |

The drag brake will apply your brakes while the throttle is at neutral. So you can let off the throttle on an incline/decline and have your truck stationary instead of rolling away.

to be safe you need a castle creations BEC. it supplies 5A which is almost standard on crawlers anymore
