Default Hitec servo question

I just got an Axial AX10 RTC a few days ago and the steering is pretty horrible. I put a better servo save and a Hitec 645mg on, which improved the turning a bit, but it could still be a lot better. I want to put a solid arm on the servo but my friend says that the servo isn't strong enough and I'll end up breaking it. Is this true or can I go ahead and put a solid arm on?

In the AX10 picture thread, I see a few people who have the 645MG with the solid arm... I would like to get rid of the servo saver but not at the expense of a servo.

The 645 will be fine with an alum arm on it thats what my sons truck has and it works fine I dont think that servo is strong enough to break the alum arm and it has metal gears you will be fine.

the only way you will break anything when using a alum arm is if u are going at a pretty decent rate of speed and plow one tire straight into a flat surface. i did that with my super w/ 60t's on 11.1v and broke a gear
