Exclamation need help wanting to run lipo on xl5 water proof ese

i have a xl5 water proof ese running a 55t motor and i want to run lipo what do i need to run it and what is the best lipo for my doller please help thanks

You will need an external Lipo cut off b/c the XL5 doesn't have one built in. You can only run a 2 cell lipo (7.4V) b/c the max voltage that the XL5 can take is 9.6V.

whats a good cut off thats water proof or can be made water proof and what lipo to you think is a good one for running mud and water and how big of a 2cell do i get thanks sir

Almost any cut-off can be waterproofed with plastidip or with a balloon.

You should take your time finding the right stuff. Max amps sells lipo's that are waterproof, but a bit pricey.

I bought my batteries from here:

You would want a 2s 20c. Don't buy a 3s, it would fry your esc. The Mah rating is the batteries capacity, the more Mah, the more run time. You must pay attention to the size of the battery, so as you browse, check the dimesions of the batterys on a ruler in front of you.

You need a Low Voltage Alarm, The LVC does not work on the blue water proof xl-5. I have the xl-5 for my scx10 also. Im looking for something to use myself, may just get a new speed control so i can run 3s!

im finding out that there is no lvc for the blue xl5 water proof ese so guy what do i do now im having a hard time trying to find the right stuff

Umm, he has a xl5, it can't handle 3s.
