| losi xcelorin brushless esc problems.... 1
I picked up a losi xcelorin esc to replace the novak goat so i could run a 3 cell battery. I threw the novak 21.5t motor on and every thing worked, the controller sync'd perfectly. I downloaded the software and tried to plug my esc into the computer everything worked unplugged it and nothing worked, re syn'd my controller with the esc and it worked. I messed with some settings i shouldn't have , and went to try and fix them and it wouldnt connect, the usb connects but the esc doesn't :? the yellow and blue esc lights come on though. Thinking it could be the novak motor i took the 17.5 turn losi motor i had and connected it.... same problem. I deleted the software and uploaded it again same thing, even tried it on another computer.... same problem. If anybody has any pointers it would be great, im planning on calling losi tech support on Monday or Tuesday, unless i can get it figured out. Just to let you know everything works (except the computer programming function) the motor goes forward to reverse, the quick program card still works. It seems the esc loses the controller programing every time it is plugged into the computer. please help Last edited by paintballer9876; 09-06-2009 at 07:56 PM. |

Sometime mine has issues getting the green light for the ESC USB works every time. Try messing with the ESC power switch sometimes that has helped for me. By far the biggest problem I have had is the ESC settings change themselves randomy?? My throttle will be acting up so will check the curve. The throttle curve will look like a three year old hopped up on monster energy drinks let loose with a crayon. I think it may have to do with voltage feedback from the motors/servos when turning and spinning things with out the battery hooked up and the power switch on. I run a bec to power everything so sometimes forget to turn it off. When I hooked up yesterday it had my battery cutoff at 25.5 volts!! No wonder drive didn't work. :-P Just waiting for funds and going to replace it with a goat 3s. Well or try my goat 2S on 3S again I do run the Novak 21.5T motor also. |
