Exclamation hpi SF-1 servo made into winch?

hey i was just wondering if this servo would be able to be a winch?

You can make just about any servo into a winch. You just have to pull it apart and take out the stop. I did it with a extra hitech 225 mini servo.

u dont need to replace the pot all u need to do is get it centered well and a dab of ca glue

OK - as long as you disconnect the pot shaft from the output shaft.

this hpi servo is very different to my hitec 645 so i have no idea on what to cut,trim and glue on it?
i really need help on this servo!

Take it apart and post some pics of the internals. It looks perfectly normal from the outside.

hehehe i finally made it into a winch! it can only pivk up about 3-4kg but its fine for a recycled servo! now my next problem is where to mount it! i have no room at the front of the chassis a little in the middle buy loads in the back :(

i read/saw a pic of a winch what was at the back but used old rod ends to guide the line through?

any ideas or pics of a winch on a wk chassis?
