| Servo not working properly
I have a hs 645 that is a little on the old side and it is having trouble turning my wheels on my scaler to one side, it's struggling to turn it. I know my geometry is good because I have the same setup on my other rig with a crappy futaba 3003 that pulls the wheels fine. Is it possible the the 645 is just worn out? Does that happen? I'm running a 7.2v without any BEC. Would a BEC help?

its possible your servo is worn, if the pot is dirty or work it could be not showing full sweep in one direction which would cause the motor to run slow and underpowered. If you've changed anything on the truck that could affect the steering that could cause a bind, or dirty or rusty knuckles, links could all cause it too. I'm assuming that none of the servos gears are stripped |

yes a worn 645 does happen. it happened to me about 3 months after I started using it on my first crawler. save your money and upgrade to a monster 300oz+ servo (I use the 400oz jr8 711 for $140). your crawler will thank you. A 645 will work good for a mini crawler, but not a 2.2 (for long ) |

Ok thanks guys I just wasn't sure if they do wear out like that or not. No gears are stripped and nothing is binding on the axle. I'll just have to upgrade to something beefier |
