| 180 degree, new steering setups
With all the new steering knuckles and CVD setups i'm seeing allot of pics with people showing how far they could turn. But one thing wonders me, almost all those pics show a servo thats pointed at almost 90 degrees at the side (180* movement) and with my servos digital or analog servos im not getting 180 degrees. Running my rigs with a DX6i by the way Thanks guys, Mischa |

So are you asking where to get 180 degree throw servos?

Thanks already So if i want 180 degrees of rotation on a servo i need a programmable one? At the moment i have a 20Kg Savox servo which is a brand that is used allot nowadays here in Europe for truggy/buggy comps but its 15 sec/60* so that means it can only go 60* in each direction? |

| No that is just a standard measuring spec used by most manufactures. Your servo is most likely a 90* throw servo (45 each way). Yes you need a servo that is either programable or comes programmed at 180*.

Or the easiest way, use a servo arm thats longer than the arm on your knuckle. Remember that just cause your steering does it doesnt mean the servo has to throw that far. Depending on the weight of your rig you might not have much force at extreme angles of throw anyway.

Not sure if it would work with a digital servo? Figured it would be worth posting in this thread. http://www.servocity.com/html/180o_servo_stretcher.html |

I've used this one on a jr z9100t servo to get 180 for my steering. Works great. http://www.rcdude.com/servlet/the-13...retcher/Detail |
