Default Novak speed control gets hot?

I have a Novak 2S Brushless Goat Speed Controller. I noticed after about 2 minutes of "ON", I can touch the heat sink but its pretty warm. I dont know how hot it is exactly but the question is, how hot should the speed control get before its considered "too hot".

like after 2 mins of running or just sitting because if its from running it could be too tight of gear mesh or to tall of gearing

same here, i think because i max my drag brake is part of it. i installed the fan a couple weeks ago and it keeps it nice and cool.

and when he says pretty warm he means pretty damn hot from what mine done.

Because I am not part of Novak's technical support group, you may need to email tech@teamnovak.com with your question. Before emailing, take a moment to review the instructions originally included with your Novak Item:

Novak Instruction Downloads

Quote:
Please make your initial email as detailed as possible. Include:

~ warranty claim?
~ speed control (brand/model)
~ motor (brand/wind)
~ connectors used
~ servo (brand/model)
~ radio system (receiver/transmitter)
~ vehicle & gearing
~ battery, brand (c rating/capacity)
~ any external modules (BEC/brand, Glitch Buster)
~ other important info: water damage, corrosive chemical sprays, excess heat, etc

The more information you provide in your first email, the more quickly tech support can offer you assistance.

Ya, I guess its true, you cant idle with the Novak Goat on a BL setup.
I notice if I am on the throttle, the ESC doesnt heat up. Does Novak know this? If it frys because its on and idle, does Novak stand behind the product and fix/replace it?

Thanks for everyone's input
