Default Servo Whine

I have a HR dig I am controlling with a Tower Hobbies TS-150 (190oz @ 6V), when the dig is in 4x4 there is a very light and intermitten whine, when it is in dig (read wheels locked) the whine is constant, but you have to put your ear about 5-6 inches away from the servo to hear it. Is this bad?

The EPA in the dig-direction is maxxed.

Thanks.

Digital servos are noisier than analogue servos. They normally make a variable rapid ticking noise, rather than a constant whining noise.
Can you reduce the throw (EPA)? The sound you describe in 4x4 is normal. It should sound the same in dig.
Constant whining suggests that the servo is trying to move too far and is binding.

If you can't adjust the Tx or linkage, try moving the servo arm by one spline on the shaft.
