Can you try using the "flap" switch and Rx socket instead? That will prove that the dig servo is working OK.

Once you know that the servo is OK, you can start checking the radio.
First thing to do is put the DX6i into "monitor" mode and flick the gear switch. The graphic bar for the gear channel should move. That proves that the switch is working and the settings are OK.

I put a brand new servo in it and it works on every other channel except the gear, I recently read how to make it a 3 position but if i dont have the gear switch it wont work.

I have been messing with the mixing for about a hour and cant get the 3 position to work with out the gear switch either.
Time to contact horizon about a fix.
I dropped mine and broke the switch off mine, Im in the same boat!!

Have you got a link to the article that shows how to run a 3-position switch on the gear channel?
I was under the impression that the DX6i could only do 2-position on the flap and gear channels. I though it was a "digital" (on/off) channel, rather than a proportional channel.

Tyler - what happens on the "monitor" screen when you move the gear switch? Does the graphic display change?
The flap and gear channels should both work the same. Is it possible that you've disabled the gear switch, or set the EPAs (travel adjust) to zero in the setup menus? Checking on the monitor screen will show you what's happening.

Unfortunately, it's no good for me, as I need both mixes to get all the 4WS options from a single control.
If Venom ever release the Creeper dig, I'll be using the elevator channel, converted to a 3-position switch, to control it.

Tyler:
If your gear channel is blown, you could use the flap channel instead. Set the mix to flap (instead of gear) and use another free switch to control it, maybe the "mix" switch.

Sounds like it could be a faulty receiver. Can you borrow one to try? Maybe your local hobby shop can test it for you.
