Default spektrum reciever questions (dsm/dsm2 mumbo jumbo)

Is it possible to bind a new dsm2 reciever with an old spektrum remote, liek the original DSM only dx3's?

Also, is it possible to link the air recievers (like the 5 and 6 channel ones) to DSM only surface remotes?

I ask this because i own some nomadios (3 to be precise), all of which support DSM via Da Slow Mode. I want to get some spektrum recievers to use with it, as they are easier to find than the noamdio transcievers. For crawlers, I find that I do use all 4 channels (4ws, thottle, and dig). Spektrum surface recievers only have 3 channels, but I was hoping maybe I could bind to the air receivers. I should be able to bind to anything that the old dx3 can bind to.

I believe that the DSM2 receivers will not work with the Nomadio. Air receiver will not bind with surface radios and vice versa.

The way I understand it, DSM2 Txs will work with DSM and DSM2 receivers, but DSM Txs will only work with DSM receivers.

:-(:-(:-(:-(

NOOOOOOOOOO, looks like the nomadio reciever is the ONLY option if I want to use all 4 channels on my nomadio.

THanks for making it clear though.
