Default Will the RTR SC10 ESC work with a Cobalt 7t??

As above, I have a stock ESC from an Associated SC10 and a 7t cobalt motor. I want to know if I am likely to blow the ESC up if I try it? I think the stock ESC is 17t limit.
Any ideas or maybe people would post up if they are succesfully using cheapy ESC's with cobalts?

Thanks in advance
Matt

I don't think it will handle the 7t. You even said it has a 17t limit.

True but I am confused about the actual turn of the motor as a few people have said that the cobalts are 7 pole so does the 7t means 7 turns or poles?

or email John Holmes at

He'll prob want to know what voltage you plan to run so he can tell you stall current draw.

On 2s you are fine. 3s, at your own risk.

The 7t is kinda like a 25t on amp draw, but a 30t on speed.

Stock Associated XP SC200 ESC specs here:
http://aedownloads.com/downloads/ins....sc200.esc.pdf

State:
  • 8.4v max
  • 200A continuous rating
  • 270A momentary (30sec)
Ask John, but seems it should handle it.

Too late, John was quick to spot and respond
