| Servo for airplane use only?
I have a JR DS8411 servo and the box says "for airplane use only." What gives? Any reason why I can't use this for a car?

I think that warning is there so that it is not used in Heli's http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=159845 A quick google found me that. Basically, the load changes and vibrations from a heli cause its output shaft to shear off and lose control of the heli, which can be dangerous. Shouldn't be a problem for a ground vehicle though. An out of control heli is mouch more dangerous than a crawler than can't turn, lol. |

Could also be an input-voltage thing. A lot of JR digitals don't like anything over 4.8

well, planes use jsut as much power if not more than RC's. They give ratigns for that servo in 6v, so idoubt it can't take 6v.

I am pretty sure it is referring to not using them in helicopters. I do remember a few years ago people were having lots of failures with certain JR servos in helicopters due to vibration. I can't remember exactly which ones but I think the 8411 may be one of them.
