Batteries are rated by capacity, such as 1500mAH, 4600mAH. This stands for "milli-amp hours". The bigger the number, the longer the run time. Downside is, a higher capacity battery is more expensive. It's often cheaper to buy several smaller capacity batteries than one really high capacity battery. What vehicle are you running, and with what motor and speedo (ESC)? How much run time do you want? Do you need to stick with 7.2v NiMH batteries, or can you use 7.4v LiPo batteries? Your vehicle can generally use either, but you need a special charger for LiPo. If you are just starting out, LiPo is the way to go. |

I run a maxamps 2s2p 2200 and get great run times out of it. Worth every penny.

| Oh well. I was just being funny anyway. I don't think many people want a $200 battery for crawlin & it would be like putting a brick on it lol.

Stick packs dont fit well in most crawler applications. The OP really needs to give more info about his setup for us to give good input on what the "best" battery would be for his application. What chassis? What axles? What electronics (motor, ESC, BEC, etc.)? | |

I run a venom 3000mah nimh. And I get more than enough run time from it. I'd say about an hour.and I also have another venom 1800 nicad.the nicad doesn't last as long but with both batts I get way more than enough crawl time.by the time my 3000 is drained,I'm done screwin around anyways.3000's are around $40 I believe

venom sucks, just avoid ANYTHING they make maxamps are WAY overpriced...but do work decently. the best, for the price...are the hobby city packs from zippy or turnigey. I, along with the VAST majority of racers, run them in my/our 1/8 scale buggy/truggys with great success. you'll never in your life beat the price, or the quality! in my last crawler i THINK i bought the 2100mah packs ('ll have to look and see) but they were perfect. Lots of run time and plent of punch. |
