| Build your own lipo pack??
I was thinking of taking apart a new lipo pack that I have to make it a saddle pack since the company doesnt offer them pre-made as saddle packs. Anyone messed with it or got any tips? I figured that as long as I kept the balancing tabs in the stock location that it would be just like building a Nimh pack. Any advice or suggestions would be great |

If you´re new to electronics and soldering I strongly suggest you not to do this. I´ve done it but you have to know that some packs don´t solder well with regular solder, here you need the aluminum kind. Some packs have very short tabs, this also doesn´t make it easier. Then you should uncharge the packs to an equal level, for safety reasons - no high current shorts - and for cell life reasons - just interconnecting both packs makes high currents flow, since the cells usually have little inner resistance. The cloth pin solution is not good for your cells at all. Also wear safety goggles!!
