Default Battery dumping early

Ok, I'll explain the best I can.....

On my monster truck, the battery will last a couple of laps and then peter out.
I have just installed a new 19t motor. With the 27t motor it didn't happen. The endbell keeps coming loose and I have turned the com, installed new brushes.

I think the end bell keeps hanging a brush. Is it possible? How do you fix that?

If you are comparing your runtime between your 19 and 27 turn motor, then it could be the lower turn motor that is causing it. The 19 turn motor draws more amps than the 27 turn, and thus a lower runtime.

also the timing is most likely off and needs to be set correctly.at 0 degree front and rear.if you want to give timing the rear motor gets reversed timing.but start at 0 degree first then go from there.with 3000 packs i just make 5 min in a race

They are both fixed timing and I get a full race from my stock motor (27t).

I make maybe 4 or 5 laps with the 19t and it dumps.

Question

Make sure the timing is 20 degrees advanced (not retarded) on a standard rotation motor. If the endbell comes loose you may not have the internal ring that the endbell screws go into indexed properly. How many minutes is a couple of laps? What batteries are you running?

Did you change your gearing when you switched from the 27 to the 19?

Yes, I changed the gearing when I switched and the endbell only goes on one way, it has a tab to index it to the can. A lap will last around 12 seconds taking my time and 10.5 if I'm really cooking. I am running GP 3300's. I have just changed out the ESC as well. In messing around with it, while it is runningwide open, I can pull one of the brushes up until the motor quits running and then let it go, it will start running again but not at full rpm. It only returns to full rpm when I physically push the brush in to the com. I definately have a problem there that Fantom needs to resolve. But will that make a battery dump like that?

By the way, this is just a test oval I am running my truck on.
