| lipo run times?
will i have good run times with a 11.1 v 450mah because for the price of $6.80 I think its pretty good. Or should I get a 11.1 v 900mah for $10.55. Which will have better run times. Thanks |

I'm not sure what electronics you have in your truck, but in mime I would probably only get about 4 minutes run time with that 450mah. I used to run a 860mah pack as my comp packs and I could get through one coarse with only a few seconds of "throttle time" to spare.

I run 500s in comps and get 10+ minutes out of them. But make sure they have at least 30C.

| The mah rating is basically the size of your "fuel cell". For the most part, more mah will net more run time if you are comparing similar motors, gearing and vehicle weights. There's 2 different kinds of drivers. Drivers with finesse and throttle jockey's. Drivers with more finesse can get by with a smaller battery since they rarely drop the hammer. |

the c rating is gonna come into play also, if they're 10c or something they wont work anyways.

I think the Losi CC has a pretty power robbing drive system. I would look at a 1300mah 20c at the least. On my Berg I run a 4s 1300 that is 20c and I can run most comps with it ( 3 courses, 6 minutes each) I am just to lazy to change batteries. This is at the local comps, at worlds I did swap batteries after the second course. Just to be safe.

A 55t lathe motor could be run on dang near any decent lipo. A quality hand wound or cobalt puller NEEDS the extra C rating. My pullers will swell a 15c rated lipo in minutes....if I push them. That same battery will run a 55t lathe wide open all day long. It's all about how much amperage the motor pulls and if the battery cells can deliver what it needs.

But right now im running a out brushless outrunner that I bought from tcs when i bought a clodbuster package. it seems to have more torque than the 35t and doesnt get as hot as my brushed motor. Right now i run a stick pack 6 cell battery and i get like 15-20 min run time and im looking for a little bit more wheel speed. But dont want to change the motor and a battery that will fit in the battery tray.

I run 3 cells in everything.....Poly RC 2200mah I've beat the snot out of these and they always do very well. Going to a 3 cell from a 7.2 volt pack, you'll see the wheel speed your looking for Cobalt pullers LOVE to draw power. These packs will net me around 30-35 minutes. I tend to run a bit taller gear than most and stay in the throttle a good bit. If I'd gear down a bit more and ease up on the throttle,I could get more. Depending on what outrunner you have,I'd bet you'd see more runtime than I see with a puller. They are a little bigger than what most people run, they are dependable cells though, that's why I like them so well.

| no not enough amps. the battery listed above or the one reflection listed will work great though depending on which fits best.
