the stock one that comes with the XC-CC01 kits

has anyone successfully set one of these up? i remember trying when i first got the kit, gave up and borrowed one from another rig. well that one has just burnt up and now ive lost the directions on how to set up the tamiya and all it does is beep, no matter what i do.

Big warning about the TEU101BK. They don't have an internal BEC, so they pump 7.2 volts (or what ever the drive battery is putting out) directly into the receiver.

They rely on old style receivers or the ones that come in pov stick radios that have inbuilt BEC's (like the Futaba AR122). Use these with a 3001 or any other pro receiver you run the risk of frying something.

Well your half right but you forgot to say it only pumps out 7.2v if the red plug is inserted into the rx. Just use the regular esc hookup and its fine. I use two of these in my bully. It sucks that its a double pump but its got just as smooth a startup as a novak rooster crawler. They are cheap too.

Forgot to mention that I have my cc bec wired into the rx. The ESC's give no power to the rx without the red plug. If you do use the red plug and you have a power hungry servo, it will glitch the system under stress.

My multimeter shows 5.5v in the RX with all cables installed properly. I have always thought big of this ESC taking into account it comes free with kits.

Hey, Thanks for the info. Got one of these with my CC-01 and thought it was broke, so I just put it aside and went for my FXR. I'll try plugging in the red bat plug as recommended. THANKS!
