| tekin problems
so i switched from rooster to the tekin fxr and am having horrible problems, so i set it up from the instructions but it will run for like a min then shut down my dig servo then freaks out, but i have a cc bec for the steering servo and it all stays working fine, does any one have any ideas i have reset it like 5 times.

Unplug your dig servo and drive it around for awhile and see if it still cuts out after a while. Sounds like you might be needing to run a BEC on your dig servo also.

what radio are you running? i found that when i switched to the fxr and ran a cheaper radio it would freak out then not work, then freak out some more, but when i swaped to the dx3r it worked just fine

so i am running a 3s lipo and a mx3 radio, i unpluged the dig servo and it still does it, the weird thing is when the dig servo freaks out and the throtle goes dead my steering still works fine, its the only thing on the bec,

Then your BEC is working fine. Check the LEDs on the ESC and reference the owner's manual. It may be a cheap or not fully charged Lipo is being over taxed and making the ESC use the Lipo cutoff. |

they are new and fully charged i have 3 of them it does it on all of them and on my 2s it does not through any code just goes blank

Manual programming or Hotwire? Did you buy the ESC new or used (if you bought it from another party new, it may have been updated with new firmware, in which manual programming is limited). |

i bought it new from my lhs, i have one on my other crawler it works fine with my radio and servos, this one just sucks, i talked to texin on the phone just now they are sending me a new one

I have 5 Tekins, all work perfect but I love to troubleshoot them. Most of the time it's something overlooked. Other times it's a quick fix with Hotwire.

how do you like the hot wire how does it hook up to the tekin i am thinking of getting one what can you do with it |
