Default Wet Servo Issue

I have a Hitech 645mg Servo and I believe that my steering servo got a little too wet yesterday and now after trying to dry it out, all t does is kindof pulsates and only does it in one direction, trying to turn right.

Also I get no speed control function as well, would a bad servo cause issues with ESC where it wont go forward or backward???

Any help or ideas, or is it a good chances the pots are messed up and better off replacing servo??

Chris

I'd open up the servo and let it air out; don't apply any more power for a while. You might try gently spraying it out with an air compressor, etc...
If your battery is low forward/reverse may glitch or not go at well when trying to also power the servo...? Hopefully your ESC didn't get wet as well. What's your setup?

Running a Novak Rooster Crawler & 55T Motor as well as a Venom 2s Lipo.
The battery is almost fully charged, only has about 30mins of run time.

Today at the local hobby shop tried a few things and almost seems like the ESC has the glitch, but didn't get wet.

We bypassed the ESC with a battery pack pluged into the receiver and the servo worked fine. When I unplugged battery pack and plugged the ESC back into the receiver it glitches.

Personally,if I dunk a servo or anything that's not been water proofed,I'll let it sit for allot longer than just over night. I will usually take everything apart, dry them off good and let things air dry for 2-3 days.

Have you made sure the receiver is dry? How long was in wet while the truck was turned on? Quite possible you could have a bad receiver.

What ESC do you have?

No more than a 645 is worth,I'd just replace it.

Running Novak Rooster Crawler ESC

It ran for about 2mins after it got wet and then acted up.
I let dry yesterday afternoon and overnight and stilll no response.

I pulled the case on the receiver and let dry as well.
