I did hear back from Charlie. Novak Appreciates the need for a good "Crawler" ESC and hope that more of our Future Products are better suited for this new area of R/C. More wiring options, BEC features, Reverse/Braking Options, and protection from the elements will definitely be incorporated into future designs. At this time there are no new release dates for anything "official", but I can assure you Novak Engineers are always hard work on new product designs. So maybe something, maybe nothing. My temporal periscope is busted right now. |

Well thats good news, just not anytimes soon.. One thing I think we all can agree on here (the old timers hear should know best), that RC crawling has to be the fastest growing nitch in the RC market. Its not to far off from a day when HPI or Kyosho have an RTR crawler. Not trying to get off track, but my point is that the electronic companys (novak and others) will have a line of crawler ESCs ect.... BTW Great letter..! You must have got an A+ in english.. |

Actually went and got a journalism degree. Then I found out what journalists earn for covering school board meetings and decided to get a real job. Now i'm just another over-educated hobby-shop weenie. As for RTR crawlers, look at the Nylints and how they're selling. I'm sure there will be a hobby-grade crawler before too long, and we'll flame the hell out of it, then make it perform like it does in the ads. Airtonics already has a "Rock Buster" servo. Maybe in a few years, we'll have four-channel pistol radios with two steering wheels. Letter to Futaba? I should start charging for these ideas.... Last edited by microgoat; 12-10-2005 at 05:13 PM. |

That's a pretty good response from Novak I would say. The crawling niche wants better electronics just like all other r/c segments. Novak has great products. I'm on my PDA Sitting on a couch grabbing the net from a nearby wireless source |

There is already a 4 channel pistol grip radio. The Nomadio Sensor is 4 channel.

and it only has one steering wheel... What I'd like to see is a conventional wheel, a thumb-wheel for 4ws, a trigger and a switch for a winch or shifter or whatever. But that's just me. We'll save that for another letter. Let's see what Novak comes up with first. |
