for equal runtime, lipo weighs less

4000 mah TP lipo is 120 grams.
3700 NiMH is 408 grams+.

Thats less than a third of the weight for more runtime. BUT, the lipo costs $100 where the NiMH costs $36ish.

Lipo takes a special charger that you probably dont have. cheapies are $30, deluxe is $100 up to whatever you want to spend.

So, you could have the same weight with 3x the runtime, or the same runtime with 1/3 the weight. Either way your pocket will be lighter. Lighter weight is better for your parts.

The big disadvantage of lipo is that you dont want to discharge them too much or they will "break" and possibly catch fire when you recharge them. Also, they dont like to be pushed harder than they can handle. This can cause the lipo to get out of balance or "break". Either way the cells are shot.

TP lists the packs current handling to make your life easier.
