| What is the condition and location of the antenna wire? Make sure the antenna wire is in good shape, no nicks or wire showing. Does the motor have diodes( I think thats right) soldered on it?

What ESC are you using? What exactly is it doing, stearing servos going nuts? Is it dancing the funky chicken?(Jerking). If you unplug the stearing servo or the ESC does it still do it? I would unplug one then check it, then plug it back in and check the other. If you dont have another receiver AM I take it, do you know someone that has one you can try? It doesnt have to be a traxxas receiver just has to be the same frequency. Might also try to remove the crystal and reseat it!

You need to start from the begining and go through the process of elemination! Something has to be causing it, just have to go through the steps to figure out what. Another stupid question is the antenna in the TX the right one and not one out of a different radio? is it screwed on tight? I would remove all of the electrical from the truck, Hook everything up to the receiver and start elemination! Try different servos, receivers, motors, esc, ect... If all else fails you can take it to your LHS they should be willing to help you. If you have swapped out or checked everything but the radio, I would have to point there! Other than what I posted above, sometimes certain electronics just dont work well together! Last edited by prophetz; 11-04-2009 at 03:49 PM. | |
