You could charge them on the 500mA setting (.27C) or the 1500mA setting (1.1C).
The settings are not in mAh but are the available charge rates e.g. .5amps/1.5amps/3.0amps.

Is your friend using a balancer with this charger? If not I would use the 500mA setting and charge in a fire safe bag. Better yet I would get a better charger with a built in balancer.

What is the battery in question? Depending on the battery, you should be able to charge it at 1.5A and most definitely charge it at 0.5A.

Better not charge lipos incorrectly. Do a search and watch some nasty lipo videos an pics. Not a pretty site. YOU DO NOT WANT TO PLAY AROUND WITH LIPOS!!!

Wait, did I just say that??:?

Of course you want to play around with lipos!!

Just charge them correctly and in a lipo sack or an Ammo box like I do

I have the Turnigy Lipo's the same size and I charge them at 1.3a. My charger has a built in balancer though.. From what the documentation on the battery max charge rate is 1P.. So a 1300mah would be charged and 1.3 amps.. max..

What is it's listed charge rate is it 1c, 2c or higher? Is it a newer turnigy? If it's a newer one it's probably rated at 2c charge rate which means it can be charge up to 2.7 amps (1350 x 2=2.7). If thats the case it will be perfectly fine charging at the 1500 setting. If it's rated 1c then the safe thing to do is charge it at the 500 setting. I said safe if it was me I'd still charge it at 1.5 (just do it in a lipo bag or outside on concrete) more then likely it will handle it.

I don't use one. Its mainly just a cautionary thing and has nothing to due with a balancer (that just prolongs your battery life)

If I'm charging inside I'll set the battery inside a baking dish or on the concrete in the garage.
