im currently running 2 hitech 645's and their kindof old so it seems as if they dont have the throw or torque they used to. i just rebuilt my buggy and im in need of two good servos that could do me well. im not interested in buying the top of the line servos because its too much for me ive already priced them, im just not too sure on these other servos im looking at. SO WHATS A GOOD SERVO?

new digital version of the ones you've got. 5645's they are very good for the money and the horns that you have will work or if you would like aluminum ones they come with the servos.

I agree. I have an HPI Hellfire that use to steer like a dump with a flat tire, but with the new 5645, it was a major improvement. Only other one I would ggo with is the 7955, but I put that in my Timberwolf.

i was looking at the hitec 5645 cuz they come with a aluminum horn, my rig is probly 5 pounds tops, and im assuming the plastic horns arent gunna cut it, its just like another 10 bucks for both horns but i ended up rebuilding everything so im not trieng to spend a bunch of money.. now do they sell the crawford servos in stores? cuz if their priced like that than i could get the horns as well and save money. i need new tires as well mine barelly do it, the only reason they do is cuz the weight(never buy the imex all terrain tires i have) |

pfffft. pansy shit. nothing less than 300oz. start w/ a JR9100t. youll never look back, 3 year waranty and an awesome device. i have smoked every cheap bargain servo listed above w/in a week of purchase. the JR is going on 6 months. although they would all make great dig servos |

i just break everything duder. i learned right quick that its better to save up for a few weeks and get the good shit. every time i go the "bargain" route, i destroy it. after a couple hundred bux that i coulda spent right the first time, i just go all out or nuthing. your ESC, Steering Servo, poer sourcw and radio equipment are the top 4 things that i would really suggest you spare no expense. but, i like to comp more than play by myself.. and breaking shit halfway through a course is devastating. if you dont have the cash, or just dont want to spend it, no BFD. just keep in mind, stuff is cheap for good reason. do the best you can w/ what you got |

i havent gotten into comps yet and i have 4ws, but im probly going to start up cause i found the real local crawler shop (JPH). i got some white rovers today and they hella kickass and my rig crawls up just about anything now cuz of them, less weight more grip and my cheap ass servos can hang now but im gunna get new ones. i got hooked up buy one pair at 19.99, the other pair for .1. so you said nothin under 300 oz of torque? so the one you recomended is a good hookup or what? i mean im currently running the 645's ya their crap fo sho, but im thinkin like 220oz could hang? the 645's are like what 130ish?? | |
