Well if ya just need a esc, the sidewinder is a great low budget choice but you'll need a cclink or access to one. If ya want an esc and motor the fxr combs are it! Get a ccbec with either.

I will need a smart stop with this esc because there is no low voltage cut off for the fxr

The fxr does have a low voltage cutoff. It has 3 modes as well. 2s 3s and custom setting.

Either the Sidewinder or the FXR is a great choice. The FXR is smaller and has a little stronger dragbrake, but costs a little more. Either one will work just fine with your motor. You will need a Castle BEC with either one if you plan to run a high powered servo.

FXR is the way to go. Small and easy to find a place for, plenty of adjustment, you don't need to buy anything extra to adjust it & lipo ready with adjustable cut offs. I have run mine for 6-7 months and it has been rock solid.

A high powered digital will shut down the internal BEC on both of those ESC's when in a bind on the rocks, causing your truck to freeze until you pick it up out of the bind. 2 choices for your budget are the Hitec 7955TG 333oz or the Hobbico CS170(rebadged 7955 knockoff)
