| Hobbypartz lipos
I was wondering if anyone has ever used the hobbypartz lipos? I was going to order some from hobbyking, but i am going to be placing a order with hobbypartz soon and their shipping is A LOT more reasonable. I was looking at these: http://www.hobbypartz.com/83p-1000mah-3s1p-111-20c.html But it says their almost 3" long? Ive had 1500mah batteries that were only 2.5" long.... It also says it has a 50c burst, whats the chances of this being true? Im not really sure how lipos work, but for the higher burst is the cells longer or what? |

If they do have a 50C burst...mine are only 35C and run nicely....seems kinda long I think, mine measure 2.5 inches long..but they are also 1500 mAh. 7 bucks...sure worth trying I would think. |

I've ordered from hobbypartz before, and I am satisfied with them as a company; quick shipping, great prices. I don't have any of those lipos yet though. I use a 1000mah 20c 2s on my 45T novak motor through a castle sidewinder, and it does just fine. I'm looking to go to 3s though for more power, so these may be the way to go. There is also the 1300mah (73mm (2.875") long) 20c battery, 30% more run-time and current capability (26a vs 20a) The way I have my servo mounted, I can fit a battery 80mm long, so this will fit for me. Dimensions of the cells are determined partly by capacity and C rating, but I've seen cells with the same dimensions that are different. It's more a matter of who and how they are manufactured. These cells may have a "marketing-inflated" burst rating, meaning that only if lightning strikes the cell it will see 50C, it's more likely 25C or 30C, but how is the average user supposed to test this? |
