Default Mongoose Help

I recently installed a Mongoose 13.5 and my pinion gear does not seem to be correct. I'm running a 13t pinion but I'm not happy with the gear mesh. Can someone direct me to the correct one. I also have problems with a dead spot when I go from forward to reverse. Does anyone now how you program around this?

Thank you in advance..

What is wrong with the gear mesh? Did you use the blue pinion that came with the motor? You might want to go down to a smaller pinion. I am running an 18.5 with a 13t i think and it is good. You need to adj. the DEAD BAND (when the blue and green lights are on). How is the drag brake in the 13.5 or do you have the crawler esc?

I tried setting the dead band as low as i could. The drag brake is ok. Does not hold as good as stock did. My setup did not come with a pinion.

Are you using .5 mod pinions? And to utilize the crawler profile on the esc you must use the 18.5 motor iirc. That might be why you have a dead spot.

I just got the esc and 18.5 motor combo, and mine seems to be fine. Only trouble I had was the motor plate had to be dremeled for the pinion and motor screws to line up. The new pinion was catching on the motor mount.
