Default Dual motor question

Lets see if my newbie question gets moved from where I logically think it should be. hehe

If I make a custom motor plate for 2 motors one on each side of the flywheel(like losi LS2) If I run 2 27 turn motors would I have the speed of 27T but the torque of that of say a 55t?

Thanks in advance!

no,,the the motors wont have to work as hard but they wont be as low end torqued as a 55t,,they will still stall out under load if you cant provide enough power to them

So only way to get best of both worlds would be, 2 speed shifting tranny, or brushless?

You could re-wrap one of your 27t to a 55t but it a long complicated process. If you want more wheelspeed just get one of the integy crawler motors in a 45t. you can find them on fleabay for 20 bucks.

The 2 speed transmission you mentioned would be another option. I'm wondering if anyone is parting out the Traxxas Summit trannies on ebay.

The only problem with a transmission is the common "slop" witch is not good in a crawler.summit and emaxx trannys free roll like two inches.
