Default Converting Futaba 2PL (FM) to 2.4GHz... Can i add a 3rd channel?

Hey everyone,

i have seen a few posts on other sites about this:

http://hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=7381&Product_Name=Corona_2.4Ghz_Futaba_Module_&_Rx_(V2_DSSS)

And i'm thinking of doing it to the 2PL i have rather than buy a new radio. I currently have a DX3S but the 3rd channel is only 2 position.

Is it possible to add a 3rd channel since this kit receiver has 8?

if someone has done this or something similar can you please let me know how you did it.

if i have no luck i am going to buy the new DX3E early next year when its released since it has a 3 position 3rd channel switch.

thanks
Alex
