Default Servo help(stays on)

Hi guys,
I just went to replace the stock servo on my AX10 with a Hitec 645 and for some reason the Hitec just wants to stay on. I hooked up the original and it still operates fine.
Any ideas? This stuff is still pretty new to me.

Thanks

Hi,
Sorry, it's not just the bit of a buzz the thing was wanting to spin but sounded like it was binding or something. I opened it up and it just took off(spinning) adjusting the trim did nothing and if I turned left/right it would recognize it but not really stop it or slow it down.

Try reversing the steering channel on you transmitter. See what that does for you.

Does it get really hot to touch? If so or not it sounds like a dud to me.

I haven't let it heat up but I'm sure it would get hot soon enough. I'm thinking dud too, however I got it from a friend who had no trouble with it. Might just be bad luck.

Thanks for the ideas

you can try unsoldering the pot from the old servo and soldering it into the 645,,it sounds like the pot is bad/glazed

I was just looking at doing that and had an old Hitec to do it with and then figured I'd try it one last time...the stupid thing decided to work right! Guess that will be next if it acts up again, which I think it might.

I appreciate all the quick responses
