Default Few questions??

I'm still new to all the lipo stuff and I have a few questions ?
First is I have a ax10 and I have a rooster crawler and it has a built in bec. I want to go to lipo batteries do I need another bec or can the one in the esc work?
Second lipo batteries I don't understand balancing how do you do that ?
I know I can run 2s and what is a good battery and charger for the lipos? Thanks for any help

With Lipos, I would run an external BEC.

We recomend Thunder Power lipos. They work great! What is your ax10 going to be used for? Comp or Scale?

Balancing LiPos. You need a balancing charger or a stand alone balancer, it gets the battery cells to the same voltage.

Either a charger with a built in balancer or you can buy external balancers. The balancer keep the voltage levels the same from cell to cell. Lipo's are picky and you have to take good care of them! I'm new to the lipo scene as well. One came with my LCC so it was time to step up to the new tech. With the purchase of the truck I bought a Duratrax Onyx 230 charger and astroflight blinky balancer and its been nothing but learning ever since. Make the move and you won't be dissapointed!!

you done have to run a bec, however in the future you may want to add one. with a fairly single servo on 2s lipo, you should be alright. however if you find your truck doesnt want to move when turning, you will then need to get a bec.
