Question FXR -AMP DRAW??? small lipo packs ok?

Anybody know a ballpark amp draw for a fxr? I am looking to downsize my lipo packs, Right now I am running 3s 2200mah 35c packs on a dual fxr berg with 13t pinions, ccbec @7v -hs7950th servo and 45t motors.I want too downsize to around 1000-1300mah packs but i don't want too lose my "punch" .So what it all boils down too is what C-rating do I need?
Thanks,

Thanks,

? if you mean total amps, then you can already peak over 60amps with your current set up.

However Continious amps are want you need to look at.

I would think that you would be safe at 45amps. So 1300 mah at 40 c would be close. I know of people who run alot less, its all up to you.

Its not good to overamp a lipo, but I have done this on numerous occaisions, and consistantly. Never a problem yet. Just saying.

If you don't want to loose any punch you will need to get a high discharge C rating and a high burst rating on the pack. I have used the 1300 2S lipos from Holmes hobbies with success. Might want to check them out. Not to pricey either

I normally run 11.1v 1250-1500mah 20c's on my berg setup with 35t's and Fx-R. No issues. Lots o' punch. I would really like to find some 40c's but $70 for a very small lipo seems overkill with 20c's and 30c's working good.

Just bought two 1000mah 11.1v 30c's here. Bought 2 to try them out.

Ya do understand with that gforce you are going from a 77amp discharge rate (2200mah x 35c) down to 30 amps (1000mah x 30c) don't ya. It also looks like that 30c # is burst not continuous. The little thunderpower 850 has a 90c burst (850mah x 90c) for a 76.5amp rate so ya don't lose "punch", only but run time.

So far so good. Both packs are balanced perfect. 40 minutes run time and never went below 6.6v.

Yeah, I bought those G-Force packs one day before your post about the Thunderpower's. Kicking my self. I do like the little G-Force's, size. I figured that 30c was max amps too. Going to do some test runs with them on the new shafty and berg today.

I will buy one of those Thunderpower's to try em' out. I will gladly pay $36 for that TP pack.
