any sugestions on a water proof speed contol the traxxas xl-5 says no motor over 15 turn for 540 motor i just fried one sunday

Its limit is nothing less than 15T, which means you really should stay at 17T.
If its for crawling or trail, what in the world do you need something like a 10t or 12t for?
