| Battery charger question
I have a Tower Hobbies charger. It is a cheaper one that I bought just to charge a 1500mAh battery for my T-Maxx starter. My question is, it says to use on 1200-1700mAh batteries. I have been charging my 2000mAh batteries I use in my crawler for about 1 1/2 months now and was wondering if it is OK? I don't see how it could hurt them but my thought was am I getting a good full charge or not? Thanks rockcrawler304 |

Yeah thats fine just charge them at around 3.0 amps to 3.5 amps. Should be fine. Can you choose or select a amp to charge at? On my charger I can turn a knob and it raises and lowers the amps that I am charging at. Also, have you noticed a lose or gian in you r run times? Thats where you need to pay attention to. And don't let the packs get real hot while charging, and always take them off the charger and let them cool before you run them, if you don't they will not last at all. Trust me I know. Ask the otehr guys I am sure they can hepl some to for I might have left something out.

the capacity doesnt matter, mah is a combined unit. higher mah packs will take longer to charge on the same current thats all.

Cool. Thanks guys. I can't set the charging amps. I will be getting a better charger soon though. As far as run times, they seem to be pretty typical for a 2000mAh battery at about 20-25 min. They don't get hot while charging either. So I guess it sounds like I'm safe for now. Now that I use batteries a lot more I will invest in a better charger. Again, THANKS for the help. rockcrawler304 |

You have been doing just fine, underchargeing a 2000 which is nothing wrong with it.
