What is the difference between Novaks 18.5 Ballistic motor and the 18.5 Goat?

Ballistic motor has interchangeable stator and has a larger rotor (14mm vs 12 mm).

The Ballistic is more of a tuner crawler motor. You can replace winds, and so
on. Like I just ordered a Ballistic. Will be at my door on 01/20/10.

18.5T
14mm Sintered Rotor = more power...The Losi crawler systems are 13.5mm
Ceramic Bearings

Check out there site....Its build a Ballistic crawler motor.

the 1650 for the ballistic is correct, the stronger magnet slows it down. A member on here informed novak2 that the chart was wrong that listed the ballistic at 2700 and they were supposed to fix it.

Ahh. That is low KV for a 18.5...I hope the wheel speed will be good...It will
have more than enough torque though..

Ok...Just got off the phone with Novak. This is information everyone should
understand, and I think its one more reason to buy this motor..Yes its a
tuning crawler motor...What does this mean exactly. I currently ordered the
18.5 Ballistic with the 14mm Crawling Sintered Tuning Rotor, I thought that
this was going to give me more torque/power with the same 2,700kv! Wrong!
The Link below is the proper kv for the 14mm Sintered Rotor.

http://www.teamnovak.com/products/br...spec_chart.htm

The point being, is that the motor can be tunned anywhere from a 2,700kv
with there 12.5 Sintered Rotor threw 1,650 with a 14mm Sintered Rotor, and
so on. You can pick up more sizes at teamnovak.com. I always wanted to try
the different KV's like from a 21T - 17.5T but not have to buy more brushless
motors...This is a big plus in my book for someone who likes to tink with rig
setups.

From teamnovak.com on Ballistic motors.

'The motors are also equipped with a custom-silicone gasket seal to keep dirt
and debris from damaging the motors’ sensor plug'

Didn't exactly see anything about the can itself being sealed..But I think it will manage.
