Default Novak 3S GOAT V.S. HH 10T PULLER MOTOR

I have a pretty heavy scale rig and I am looking for a motor/esc combo that will offer smooth crawling, speed when I need it, and an extreme drag brake {no rolling down hill} Which of the 2 will better suit me? I plan on running a 3s battery. Thanks in advance

I myself run the Holmes esc's and 10t pullers and I love them..

But for a scaler, you might wanna think about a 7t puller instead of the 10t.

The holmes esc is a much better brushed esc than the goat, but in the same sense, the holmes esc wont do brushless.

Also the pullers are hell on batteries,so if you want something more efficient you may wanna consider the goat system,or the Tekin RS systems. The tekin goods are much better IMO than the novak stuff.
With the Tekin gear you can get full adjustablility by using the Hotwire. The novak stuff isnt like that.

holmes also has some great batteries, I run misc. batts in the 1300-1500mah range on my crawlers just depends on what deals i come across....with 10t go with a 3s it will be a great setup with power and low end control

yah for more wheelspeed...I would recommend a good 3s lipo with atleast a 35c rating.Something like a 2200mah or more for a good amount of run time..

Here are the lipos I use..

the 10t is far to slow for a scaler. i have one right now on loan and its not as fast as im used to. great torque but more suited for a comp rig. have you looked into the sidewinder esc and a good handwound motor? the new software is awsome!!!!! id say get one of those or the holmes escand a good 27turn motor like a holmes hw motor and your set.

im running a 10t on 3s 1100-1500 and get 15-20 mins runtime atm i coudl prolly regear and get some better run time but less wheelspeed.

I am sure you will be happy with that...Since your using them in a scaler, you might wanna go for the waterproof Holmes esc..

that 7t is a pretty long sucker huh. I wonder if I will have any fitment issues at the links? I have mirrored the Axial tranny so it is front and right.
