| I have a weird battery question.
I have a crawler here that I am setting up for a friend and have a question concerning batteries. He wants to run 9.6V but doesn't haev the room for 8 of his 3300mAh cells. I have a small 1500 6 cell pack that I was going to cut apart and use. I would put 6 of the 1500 cells on the front axle and 2 of his 3300 cell batteries on the back axle. I have never seen anyone do this, but it seems like it would work fine since they are both 1.2v. So am I off base? Last edited by chris w; 01-26-2010 at 06:31 PM. |

I did the same thing a while back, took two old 6 cells apart and made an 8. Didn't stretch the other two clear out to the back though. Works fine as long as you wire them up properly. BUT! They need to all be the same mah's. Otherwise its going to be like having a couple of bad cells in the pack. It'll crap out quick and won't charge properly. |

the 6 1500 mAhs will die twice as fast as the 3300...so no it won't.
