| Which ESC has no delay in reverse???
All the new ESC seem to have a delay when you go into reverse. I know this is a protection thing, but I need one with no delay. Does anyone know of a current ESC with no delay in reverse???? |

Roosters don't. Tekin Rebel 2 doesn't, but you can program it to have one.

You are correct roosters don't have a delay but it's not a "current" esc like he asked although you can still find them. And the rebel 2 does have a delay, it's about a 1/2 second but it's a delay. Quote:

The Rebel 2's delay can be programmed from 0-4 seconds.

The LRP A.I Automatic Pro Reverse Digital has no delay at all, and i have tried it for some time now, so i should know I bought it just because i needed i esc fast, after i got my txt, and that was the biggest i could get that day. And it have worked so nice that i still use it today, and that is not bad at all, cause i really use my stuff to the limit and over sometimes, and prefer high quality (often more expencive) stuff, then the standard things... that's why im so supriced this esc still are being used by me To be honest with you, i was first going to get a big M-Tronik or Novak etc, but as i said i just had to get this truck moving, and im still satisfied with this LRP i got. Maybe i will try those high freq esc later, but at this moment my current esc is quite smooth when accelerating etc. |

Wrong, seems like the first bacth of them you could get it to be instant, I ordered mine right after they came off backorder (second batch) and it does have a slight delay. It's only like a 1/2 second but still. It pissed me off so I emailed tekin's tech department. They told me it is supposed to have a slight pause so your not in forward and reverse at the same time. Look through the tr2 sticky at the top and you will see a copy of the reply they gave me. Quote:

I got my TR2 at the same time (after they came off of backorder) and I was able to program it to have 0 delay between forward and reverse. Maybe I just got lucky, either by getting one that could be programmed that way or in the actual programming.

It seems thier production is not consistant or something. I have heard this from a couple people after I got mine. Seems more of them have the delay than don't though.

I have a TR2 also. I can't get it under about 1/2 second delay. On yours, do you set it by how long the "set" button is held down? Basically I just tap it and can't get anything lower than about a 1/2" second.

Same here. I tried to program it about 4 or 5 times, each time just tapping it as quick as I could and still abot 1/4 to 1/2 sec. delay. I just learned to drive it that way and now it is hard to notice it is even there.

That's how I programmed mine. I just tapped the button really quick and it set it. I must have lucked out, because I got the delay (or actually lack thereof) on the 2nd or 3rd try.
