Default Servo ?, Voltage Related.

Looking to go aftermarket servo on my Nylint 1:6

Problem
- Nylint uses 12vdc system to power stock steering gear
- Stock steering is a drive motor, that belt belt drives a planetary gearbox, at the end of the box is a pitman arm, at the extreme end of all of it is the pot.

All servo's i've found are between 3vdc and 6vdc

Could I

A) Wire the + and - to the servo motor with a ~300ohm resistor to kick the voltage down and use the stock pot mounted in such a way it will turn from stop to stop (need to measure pot degree's)
B) Same idea but find a small dc step board to lower the voltage to 6v
C) Wire two servos in SERIES 6v@ 2 = 12v? (In theory this should work)

Has anyone had any experience wiring two 6v servos in series for use on a 12v system?
