| trouble soldering caps
is there any sort of trick to soldering the caps onto an integy motor. i cant seem to get the solder to stick to the can. ive cleaned the surface really well, and still wont stick, just pops right off. ive done dozens of motors in the past, and all worked real well, same solder ive been using for a while now, just doesnt seem to work on these integy's. any suggestions.

My Integys were no problem but I have in the past used a fine grit sand paper (220 or so)to scuff them up to make it stick. Worked pretty good.

You'll need to scuff the can as rockcrawler304 stated. Lightly hit it with a Dremel where you'll make the solder connection. |
