Default which motor for my maxx.?

Its come to the part of my SA maxx build up to fit the electronics.
Ive done a search and havnt realy found the answer.
Which motor is best?
The choices i have are a mag mayhem or similar and a gd600, OR
a 55/65T laithe motor.

Im running a 72/9 gear setup with 6" tyres, which setup would be the slowest and most torquey.?
Can i run a laithe motor with my evx shorted to run one battery.?

Help is greatly apreciated cos i have the money waiting to go my LHS in the mornin and get the guts!

Thanks.

I am running a 55t lathe with 72/10 gearing on a modded(shorted) evx. Lots of torque, great run times. My only complaint is that I wish it had a hair more wheel speed, I am considering making a 7 cell battery to acomplish that. I have never ran a gd600 but everyone that runs them seems to be happy, i just think that simplier the better and if you run a gd600 you have to get that mounted up have the shaft turned down and then you have the added weight up high. But you do get a little bit more wheel speed with gd600 and 27t motor, pro and cons to every situation.

Thanks, thats just what i needed to hear.

My prefered style of crawling is really slow. but yeah a bit of wheel speed is needed at times.
I think ill go for the laith motor, 55T.
Wouldnt a higher tooth pinion componsate for extra wheel speed and still have PLENTY of torque?

Thanks!

Yes. I'll call that a balancing act between pinion size, wheelspeed, and torque.
