Default Wiring 4WS to BEC

So I have just put together my Berg 2.2, and soon I discovered that the front servo had some glithes.
At the moment I don't have an external BEC, but it will be here on tuesday.
I have also ordered a 4ws-kit.
How should I wire this?

Have searched this forum for hours, but most people have a dig servo that doesn't need the amount of current that my rws servo will need, so they just set the dig servo to the rx-aux and they're ready to go.

This is a nice diagram, but where should I put the second servo?

Specs:
ESC - Sidewinder
CC BEC soon arriving
Spektrum SR300 - yes, 4ws will run on the third channel

Hi Wojpa,

If you are only running:
1. Front Steer
2. Throttle
3. Rear Steer

Then easy.

Just run a Y-connector off the BEC to feed power to both servos.
Run the signal wire from both servo's back to the RX.

So, from the diagram you have attached:
1. Rename DIG Servo = Rear Steer
2. Take the Red & Black wires from the servo and connect them to the BEC where the plug is between the other steering servo and BEC unit.
3. Leave the signal wire going to the RX from the new Rear Steer Servo.

Cheers,
Mike.

Thanks a lot, I was worried you would say I need 2 BECs...
Added a Futuba Y-connector to my order now, hope this will work!

sorry for bring this back up from the dead but...
I wired 4ws like it was suggested here and when i switch off the esc and the bec is still on(no switch yet) the servos go crazy all over the place. is that normal or do i need to change something?

the esc is powering my shift servo and the rx the bes is powering the two steering servos with only the signal wire attached to the rx.

suggestions?

Simple....just unplug the battery pack so everything is dead.

Better is to skip the switch (they can fail) and just unplug the battery. I realize some set-ups make getting to the battery more difficult though.

Normal / to be expected. If you have it wired like the diagram above, your ESC would be powering your receiver. Once you turn the ESC off, like you said, your BEC would remain on and continue providing power to your servos, but since the ESC no longer provides power to the receiver, your servos have nothing telling them what to do. Apparently, left to their own devices, they'll go all wonky on ya.

I agree with Charlie, though, just disconnect the battery.

No problem, that just takes a bigger hammer ("Don't force it..... get a bigger hammer....")

As to switches, almost everyone cuts them off and solders the wires together. It removes a potential source of failure.
If you install a switch & it fails (maybe gets wet/damp) it can short, thus conducting power even though it's "off". Unplugging the battery is the only way to be sure (weak Aliens reference.....).

The first thing I do when i get a new esc is desolder the switch wires from the board an bridge the connections with solder. I hate those things.
