Default waterproofing

Hey guys, i did search the topic but i didnt find anything related to liquid tape... i was at the hardware store today and i picked some up and i was wondering if anyone had tried this before on any of their electronics. it says that it provides a water tight seal but i was also wondering if it would cause a heating problem with my esc. thnx in advance
