Default titan 775 and xl-5 questions

Can I run a titan 775 with an traxxas xl-5? Also can I put lipo power through the xl-5 if I but a lvc on it. I know these are dumb questions but I have a pile of parts I wanna use some how.

max voltage a xl-5 can handle is a 9.6v if im not mistaken. and dont think you can put a low voltage cutoff on one ethier.

yes you can run a 7.4 all the way up to a 9.6v with the xl-5 i run 8.4v with mine runs fine never a problem with it i get about 35 to 40 min run time with mine if i dont triggler happy with it.

It will run the 775, but it is made for twice the voltage, so it will be slow. Your best bet is to go with an Orion (17-23 turn) motor.
