Default Elite 1500 2/3A up to 2500!!!???

I have Elite 1500mah 2/3A 8cell custom battery pack.
I charged them at 0,5A and set delta voltage at 8mV.
But my charger wouldn't stop, it will only stop when it reached the safety time (300 min).
So the batteries are being overcharged to 2500mah
The battery temp. is normal (a little warm).
My question is the normal for these batteries?

My charger is working fine with other packs

8mv delta/v sounds a little high for a 2/3a pack. my hyperion charger uses 3mv default for nimh packs, i set it at 5mv for 2/3a and 7mv for sub c.

those cells don't always like to "top off" at low charge rates. I had the same problem when charging lower than about .8 amps. Bump the rate up to 1 or 1.2 amps and you should see a more reliable termination. Lowering the sensitivity to 5mv would be a good idea too.
