Question Hyperion, Duratrax or Thunder Power?

I'm looking to purchase a lipo balancer/charger and have $85 to $100 dollars to spend. I've trimmed my choices to the following, in no particular order:

Hyperion 606i AC/DC
Duratrax Onyx 235
Thunder Power 610C

I'll be using 2S and 3S packs, 4000 to 5000 maH range. Don't anticipate going higher. So, which model do you recommend and why? Any personal experience, good or bad with these choices. Thanks guys!

My experience is with the Onyx 230 & 240, so I'd buy the Onyx 235. The only thing I would like in my next charger is more amps for my 6,000 & 13,500 mAh batteries. But since I rarely use those, not much of a factor, really.

IIRC, those are all rather similar wattage, so when you're charging 3S, I think you'll only get up to 3.5-4 amps, so charge times on a 3S 5000mAh could get a little long.

I'd still recommend the 235, though, among those listed. I'm sure the others are fine chargers, I just don't have enough experience with them to make a recommendation.

I recommend the Thunder AC6. It's less than 45 dollars at hobbypartz.com. It is an AC charger/balancer/discharger for nicd, nihm, lipo, and life batteries. I just got mine in the mail 2 days ago.

I rock 2 of the hyperion eos 606i and i love em. I bought them cause theyre a german product. I have used them for 2 1/2 years and have no plans on changing them. I havent had any lipos go bad under the chargers and the batteries continue to recharge to their intended mah rating. ac/dc so they are friendly in the field, and all the power and charging cords are banana plug or receptacle type so you never have useless wires on em. my .02 Worth the price....then again, anything I buy is always quality, new or used.

I have a Hyperion 606i and have used it for close to 2 years. I have no complaints, it's charged all of my batteries. I have never lost a pack to a bad cell or anything, no issues at all.

Just got a 606i and it's nice probably the nicest I've ever owned. It's solidly built and very well done, small and classy it's more than I need. But I see now why people say they give long reliable service. The selection buttons wore out on my last charger but the buttons on the 606i are 500 times better all for under a $100 not bad at all.
