Default RX question....

Yea, so I have a DX3E setup in my Honcho and was wondering if I could get a 4-5 channel RX and it would still work?? Right now I have the 3 ch RX in there and I want to add some led's to the truck but my winch is taking up the 3rd channel, so that's why I ask....

I am going to preface this... by "I dont have a clue".... and then say... that if you are just talking lights it may work out ok... once the RX is powered you should have power on all ports just not control over them... that would be my uneducated guess... maybe you can see if someone you know has a receiver you can bind up quick... and just plug something into one of the ports to see...

What Rx were you planning on using? All the Spek surface Rx's are 2-3 channels, unless you were using a bot Rx.

But to answer your question, yes, if you had a Tx that outputs 3 channels and a Rx that had more than 3, you would just be using the first three.
