I run the Rooster Crawler in all of my RC's and nver had any problems. If your looking for a budget ESC then RC4WD or RPP Hobby would be the place to go. http://www.rc4wdstore.com/2/product_...roducts_id=952 or http://www.rpphobby.com/category_s/33.htm | |

I with you should just buy a novak rooster set up for only 100 bucks its cheap easyrset up (2 modes) and very reliable. I have purchased 3 myself and have never had a issue. NOVAK |

It's hard to beat a Castle Creations Sidewinder on value. I use them in all of my rigs from my 1.9 to my super. They can run up to 4s with the red wire mod and you can use them on your sensorless brushless cars. The Novak products are easy to set up and are great "out of the box" but I've personally gotten 2 local guys to switch to Castle stuff just by seeing how easy it is to change settings with the Castle link. |

seeing how your question wasn't which one to buy, but witch one to use. I would say either one you have should preform about the same. I used my xl-5 for 3 months with no problems. I use a CC sidewinder now and love it. |

you should get a novak rooster. thats what i run on my axial ax 10 and i love it. also another word of advice is to just save up some money and get a losi comp crawler or even a losi night crawler if your just getting into comp crawling. but if comping isnt your style then stay with the ax 10. lots of funn!
