Default Need help with weird DX3 & Steering Servo Issue

So I recently purchased a DX3 off of Ebay. I've had one before and it worked great.

Having trouble with the following setup:

HS-7950TH Servo (brand new)
SR3000 receiver (have tried with 2 identical receivers)
Castle Sidewinder

ESC works fine but steering servo glitches and moves back and forth continually. Doesn't seem to respond to transmitter. Also does the same with a cheap tower pro servo plugged into the steering slot.

Both servo's work fine plugged into a TQ3 transmitter and receiver with the Sidewinder.

Also, I connected the receiver and DX3 to my mini-revo with the vileneon ESC and the hs-85 steering servo works fine. HS-7950TH Servo also glitches when plugged into this system.

Am I missing a setting on the DX3???? Why would the servo work fine with the TQ3 setup?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

You need a BEC, I had a similar issue and as soon as I hooked up the CC BEC the problem is gone.

I would agree except for the fact that he says it doesn't respond to the transmitter.

Mine did that same thing, identical set up with 2 different RX/TX. Futaba FM worked, DX3 didnt, put the BEC in it and it worked fine.

Well... I hate to admit it but chalk this one up to the "do I need a BEC?" files. I just hooked up the BEC and it works fine now.

Thanks for all the quick replies!
